The Armitage focus on the customer shines through with the new DXF series Arrow Board controller.

On a previous post, we discussed some features that are highly valued by traffic management companies when looking for a new arrow board.

This post is a focus on ease of operation – a highly valued feature for traffic management operators that is brought to life through our innovative controller.

We begin by looking at the size of our new controls (video above). Conveying a sleek design, our controls are compact and lightweight. Roughly the size of a smartphone, the control case is ergonomic and easy to use. It easily fits in  one hand – an impressive feature especially when compared to other control boxes on the market that are really bulky and quite heavy.

Our control case is made from a light yet highly resistant and durable material which can be easily mounted onto any UTE’s dashboard. You will pretty much  have your control within arms’ reach – with the added convenience of easily mounting and dismounting it without breaking a sweat.

In addition, the control’s front panel depicts all major command keys in a simple easy to follow yet highly organised manner. This means you can easily locate and activate the arrow board. Setting the desired direction is again very straightforward. The button you press will blink and the corresponding command will also flash on the control’s front panel lights. The controller also through its simple LED display accurately reflects what is visible on the external sign.

To conclude, ease of operation is an important key feature for any arrow board and is highly valued by traffic management controllers. We were able to bring this feature to life by rethinking how our controls were designed, simplifying and recognising that dash on your traffic management vehicle is valuable real estate. This is yet another example of how we were able to incorporate important client feedback into our product development and the Armitage focus on continuous improvement.
